#TheFirst was a year-long social campaign called “The First—Life after High School” as an effort to elevate student voice and follow a student’s journey through our PSP. The campaign was featured on all of iMentor’s social platforms with an edited version on the iMentor Blog.
”I chose to attend George Washington University because of the location. Similar to New York, Washington D.C. is a city of important people and opportunities. By coming to GWU, I am able to benefit from exceptional opportunities as well as experience what it's like to be out of my comfort zone.
Shakira a first-year student at GWU studying Business Administration.
“I’m studying architecture because I’ve always been interested in art, but I also knew that I wanted to do something hands on. If you combine the two, architecture is kind of like that medium in between -- depending on the career path that you want to pursue, you can design buildings or become a facilities manager or somebody that’s out in the field and working in hands on stuff.”
Meet Menes, is a student at Temple University studying Architecture.
“Having time to bond with [my roommate] has really helped me to feel comfortable in the space and welcomed on campus. And when times are rough, I know that they’re always there to support me which I truly love because even though we might not be majoring in the same thing, we're still going through similar experiences.”
Linette is a first-year student at GWU studying International Affairs.
